Wirt Rowland has been discussed quite often on here. One design that is usually attributed to him is Lewis Maire school in Grosse Pointe. Working on other research I came across a school history which has O'Dell & Diehl as the architects of the building. The research was done by the Grosse Pointe Historical Society. Was Rowland employed by O'Dell & Diehl at the time? Or is the GPHS' research wrong?

If I am viewing on dyes mobile I also get just the links but if I go to the browser and view via the full site version it comes through okay,I hope that helps so you are not missing this excellant pictorial and history lesson.

Although a Chicagoan John G. Stienbach designed one of the 5 churches that will be lost for the governor's greed. 2 more of the five are found in this thread under Henrik Kohner.

That's insane. I don't understand why they need to do that much tearing down. St. John has been closed for a few years, but Holy Cross is still an active parish.
