The original building and alterations designed by Mildner & Eisen. Goeschel Building 3200 Gratiot built in 1914, altered in 1931 Detroit, MI. Includes an image before the building was reconfigured during the widening of Gratiot in the mid 1930's from the Burton Historical Collection circa 1915. An article from the Sept. 9 1914 Detroit Free Press, and an image of the front elevation for the alterations from Feb. 25 1931.

The Edward Fisher House was the Detroit Symphony Desighers' Showhouse in 1997. From their booklet for the event: "...'One of the things my brothers and I are proudest,' Edward Fisher wrote in 1937, 'is that our forebearers were artisans, in the true sense of the word.' Built in 1923, the Edward Fisher home at 892 Boston Boulevard West has been dubbed the 'Faberge Egg' of the seven Fisher mansions. Although half the size of some of the family's other manses - such as the 23,000 square foot William Fisher home in Palmer Park [[sic) - it is a paean to Old World artistry. Among its many facets: a delicately sculpted walnut entry, extravagant expanses of Pewabic tiles, Venetian detailing, hand-carved ceilings with inset oil paintings, and uniquely patterned wood, stone and marble floors. Built for an estimated price of $70,000, the house was conceived by architect Richard Marr, who designed some of the Fisher clan's other homes in Palmer Woods."

The Edward Fisher house is on this year's Boston-Edison's Holiday Home Tour. The tour is already sold out, however this Detroit News online article has many great interior pictures of the house.

One that W. Hawkins Ferry got wrong. This house is attributed to Raymond Carey in Buildings of Detroit. Designed by George Hunt Ingraham for John M. Dwyer. 372 Lakeland Street built in 1909 City of Grosse Pointe, MI. Includes images of the house from a 1909 issue of the Western Architect.

George Hunt Ingraham was a Bostonian who had an office in Detroit for a few years.
The house was moved approximately 100' and rotated 90 degrees.

Yes the house was moved from the middle of what is now Lakeland to its present location.
