    I posted the addition at one time. The addition is also a Malcomson & Higginbotham design.

    Until I saw this, I had no idea Detroit had a large, non-automotive ad agency like Maxon. They were the first ones to tell Gillette to advertise its razors during sporting events, so you can blame them for all the blade commercials.

    A novel approach was taken building the jail. The building was built in haves. The photo from the Detroit Times shows the first half of the then new jail and half of 1897 jail designed by John & Arthur Scott.
