    I have been looking for information on this house for a long time. I stumbled across the info recently doing some research in the Freep.

    Designed and built by Ernest Nuppenau for Ernest Nuppenau. 489 Ledyard built 1874-1875 Cass Park, Detroit, MI.

    Demolished: 1950's?

    Nuppenau was a builder and manufacturer of windows in the city.

    The older gentleman who opened a cafe in the restored Cass Plaza Apartment building stated that there was a skating rink at Woodward and Stimson where the long-stalled mixed-use project [[once called the Mondrian, then the Woodward) is/was to located. Your post confirms what the gentleman says is true.
