The porches were a later additions designed by Clarence E. Day. The owners of the house have the original plans, specification book and plans for the additions.

Arcadia!! Used as a roller rink for many years after the ballroom dancing days has passed. Ahhh, such great childhood memories of that Detroit 'elbows-out' roller skating.

More than a little hyperbole in that Casa Balcona ad. Showing a markedly different building sited right on the river, instead of the smaller building with a view of parking lots, E. Jefferson, and taller buildings on the river that was actually built.
