"Enjoy Detroit" Car Wash on E. Jefferson

The man who owned this place passed away a couple of years ago. I never got my car washed there, but Mrs. DVD did and said he was a nice guy. Anyways, the place used to look like this:

I drove by today and snapped the photo below. Looks like they are painting over some buildings near Belle Isle probably getting ready for the Grand Prix. Kind of a bummer the way it looks now in comparison.

Are the cars still there i loved that place.

Back in the day it was the place to get car washed and hang out.
Not that i ever did.
The building behind there was owned by them also.
I bet they had some nice cars in there too.
ENJOY DETROIT how can they paint over that.
Larry the son of the org owner was the one that passed couple years ago.

I would need to know more about this .
I remember when i first saw this i stopped and looked it over good. I wanted to enter and look at the cars better.
But no one was around maybe 8 years ago.
That place was art.

@Black Gold Man thanks for posting the videos and additional information. One of those cool places now gone. It definitely was strange passing by it and not seeing that mural on the wall.
