Judge asked to 'clear air' on real estate allegation

Property records show Justice Diane Hathaway, a former Wayne Circuit judge, and her husband, Michael Kingsley, sold at least two properties — a 4,245-square-foot home in Windemere, Fla., and a home on Windmill Pointe in Grosse Pointe Park — to relatives before finalizing a short sale on a third property on Lakeview Court in Grosse Pointe Park last November.

A quitclaim deed shows the Florida home eventually went back into Hathaway's and her husband's names after the short sale.

The only way that the Justice would be in trouble is if she falsified or failed to disclose information that she was required to disclose. Otherwise, it's on the bank to evaluate her financial situation and not knowing what information the bank had, there's a lot of speculation that's based on guesses, not facts.

Like most tyrants on the bench, "Do as I say, You have to follow the Law, Ignorance of the law is no excuse" They routinely disregard their oaths. Time for a change in justice system.

Indeed. One only has to obey the law - the actual, written law. One does not have to obey what everybody thinks the law is, or ought to be.
