    The Labor Day festival has a great chance to of not happening this year. I believe this includes the parade.

    There's not much you can do about that outside of start charging admission to the festival. That charge may cover the costs of the police presence for the festival, but maybe not for the parade. I guess it depends on how much one is willing to pay for entertainment.

    The expectation of city provided entertainment may be ending in some places, like it or not.
