    They put up plywood over the windows/doors in the ground floor of the Book Tower.

    I'd say it might deter at best. I've seen lights on at the top of the tower on the south side at night. Not sure why. Thought power had been cut off.

    One of these days, people are going to invent a lightweight, battery-powered reciprocating saw. But until that day, our buildings are safe with a sheet of plywood over the windows.
