Breakfast in downtown Detroit

I was wondering what everyone's favorite breakfast spot was Downtown and in the surrounding areas? I am usually not in the area early but will be quite often the next few months. I have some friends I'd like to impress if that's even possible. Looking for the best breakfast spots anywhere in the Downtown and surround areas [[midtown, corktown, mexican town, Eastern Market) I've also heard the buffets at the casino aren't very good.
