As some of you may remember, I posted last year about the documentary that I'm researching for PBS about Henry Ford and the history of the Ford Motor Co. We're still researching archival photos for the project and are wondering if members of the Detroit YES community have any interesting old photographs that could potentially be used in the film.
We want to branch out from typical factory photos and show early 20th century images of Ford workers at home, with their families, or in other countries before immigrating to Michigan. We're hoping to show people that worked in the Highland Park factory in the 1910s and 1920s, and people that worked in the Rouge factory in the late 1920s and 30s.
We're also looking for images of families that the workers may have left behind when moving to America, such as portraits of their parents or grandparents that remained in their homelands.
If you have any old photographs that you are willing to share with us for the film, please email me! liz@sarahcoltproductions.com Thank you!
