I remember playing Oregon Trail on a teletypewriter long before anyone had any graphics, well, beyond ASCII art.

    Thanks for the link!

    http://www.homeoftheunderdogs.net/

Home of the Underdogs, the greatest Abandonware site ever, is back online. Unfortunately, they are still reconstructing the site, and no files are available. They need a lot of help with programming and art to get fully back up.

This site kept some of the best games ever made, during what I believe was the golden age of PC Gaming, from fading into permanent obscurity. The original copyright holders to these games no longer receive derivatives or no longer exist, and therefore have no motivation to keep the software in existence.

Mac users, don't feel left out. There are some good DOS emulators for OS X that will let you run this abandonware.

    My favorite classic DOS games:
    Buzz Aldrin's Race Into Space
    M.U.L.E.
    Syndicate
    Master of Orion
Pyro 2 [[best ASCII game ever)

    CC, it's "Dan", not "Don".
On the old forum I explained that I'm a pragmatist, not an ideaologist. What did I post in this thread that would lead you to ask that?

CC, it was something that caught my eye & I thought was humorous. Hopefully a few people got a chuckle from it.
Here are more from The Onion.

Hefner Selling House Next To Playboy Mansion

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner is selling the house he owns next to the Playboy Mansion for nearly $28 Million. What do you think?

I had to search to the end of the threads to find one appropriate for The Bastard Operator From Hell. You'll laugh until you cry.

One thing we could use more of in these hard times is humor. It can't hurt. Feel free to contribute!

This site posts five new fun and safe viral videos per day. My guilty pleasure.

One guy built an SR-71 R.C. model spy plane from scratch. Only this one was 17 ft. long, and used scale turbofan engines. Quite impressive in flight.
