Busy Bars on Sunday and Monday nights?

I have a buddy who will be in town this Sunday and Monday with his GF. He was asking me where he should go as far as dinner and drinks go. They are a younger couple so they will do some gambling but need some other spots to occupy there time other than the casino.

The food isn't very difficult but thinking of busy bars on Sunday and Monday nights is. I don't ever go out on those nights and it's mid-February.

So my question is this. Are there any good Sunday or Monday night bars that might have good crowds? Should I send them to midtown or even Pole Town to somewhere like the Bronx or Whiskey in the Jar? Any suggestions would be great.

Foran's on Woodward has DJs [[House??) on Sunday night...fwiw.

The Bronx usually has a good sunday night crowd. 3rd Street Bar has amazing blues on monday nights - Johnnie Bassett and the Brothers Groove, sometimes with other assorted Detroit blues musicians.
