    Default Obama's billion-dollar campaign

What?? I've been hearing this more and more from Romney. I googled this for about an hour and haven't found any record of this, SuperPAC or otherwise. Conventional Wisdom says that this is Romney's the money guy. I did read that the campaign earnings for Pres. Obama so far were under $100M. That would take earning a lot of money in a short amount of time. It seems like he has nowhere near the amount of SuperPACs that Romney does. Is this just a way for Romney to neutralize the knock of being the "money" candidate, or is there something I'm missing? Politics wonks, please help me out.

I suspect it's an attempt by Romney to portray Obama as "elitist" and "out-of-touch" in difficult economic times. Never mind that Romney's vast personal wealth. Next thing you know, Ole Mitt will be telling us that a graduate degree from Harvard smacks of elitism.

    The facts are:

Obama campaign raised $130 million in 2011 [[$42 million in the fourth quarter). Romney campaign raised $56 million. Much of that will be depleted during the primary season.

Now Obama is going to raise a ton of money. He will also get money from deep pocket contributors, but he is going to raise approx half of it from small donations via social media. Obama will be much more active and effective at raising small amounts of money than Mitt. Mitt will raise a lot of money[[ he's probably the richest candidate out there) but his super PAC's will raise much, much more and they will be Mitt's attack dogs with the negative campaigning and all. Mitt's super PAC's just blew Newt out the water in Florida

Mitt is one of the richest presidential candidates of all time.
    1) H. Ross Perot $3.58B
    2) Steve Forbes $450M
    3) Mitt Romney $250M
    4) John Kerry $240M

I would have guessed Al Gore but he is only worth $100-200M.

Why always George Soros ? How about just a couple of Romney supporters

Bill Koch - sounds familar ? gave a $250,000 personal check and another $750,000 from the company he owns to Romneys Super PAC "Restore Our Future" remember that name when Romney rolls thru Michigan with the negative Ads you will most likely see that name attached to them.

Oh, and how about this one John Paulson who made $ 5 billion in one year betting against the mortgage crisis. He gave $ 1 million to Romney's super PAC "Restore Our Future"

And you want to use George Soros as an example of out of control billionaires... give me a break.

Oh btw the folks from Rosetta Stone might be contacting you, there are looking for some new languages that they can create lessions for.

They all have billionaires. I believe that Soros also bet against the US dollar and talked down gold as he was personally buying gold. Warren Buffet and Bill Gates are also Obama contributors although I have respect for both. The creepiest billionaire though is Mr. Adelson who had donated at least $10 to Newt from his sands and Chinese Sands casino fortune. Something tells me that Newt isn't going to want to take a stand against Chinese imports.

    Adelson has also said:
"I'm not israeli, the uniform that I wore in the military UNFORTUNATELY was not an israeli uniform, it was an American uniform."

And now a peculiar alliance emerges with Romney glowing at the Trump endorsement. Indeed, these politics make strange bedfellows. Who is the next tough guy, Arnold Schwarzenegger the terminator?

Strange bedfellows yes !!. It seems like another disgusting attempt by Trump to remain relevent this campaign season. Trump in my eyes is nothing but a political whore who also changes position with the wind. He made a calculated decision that Mitt is going to get the nomination and if he wanted to be in the mix he better jump on board

I remember that when I lived in NY, Trump was usually involved on the liberal side, even donating fairly heavily to Mark Green's run for mayor, Ralph Nader, etc
