    Default The Saint Rita

I know that there have been conversations about the beautiful but abandoned Saint Rita apartments in the North End. Just saw the following article from November on Curbed, and didn't recall it being mentioned before. Maybe there is hope for this gem that was slated for demo. One can always hope.

The Saint Rita is overrun with cats.Dozens of them. They are jumping out of the windows and prowling the grounds. And there's a mysterious car that pulls up every couple of days with food to feed the feral felines..

Even if you have financing or your own money, this is a tough city to get stuff like that accomplished. Bad economy, no middle class, low rents, little or no police response and a host of other reasons add up to the perfect storm [[for failure)
