    Default Historic Ford Homes of Dearborn

    The February-March issue of Old House Journal includes an 6-pg article about the Dearborn neighborhoods backed by Henry Ford:

    "Neighborhood Assembly: Dearborn, Michigan boasts an impressive array of well-designed historic houses, thanks to Henry Ford" by James C. Massey and Shirley Maxwell.

    Very interesting article. But I wish they would have supplied some side-by-side pics of how they made the individual models look different.

    Some of the strangest layouts I've ever seen...these houses are only one-room deep. I've been around 'em all my life in Dearborn and have never been able to get used to 'em...or see the historic value. They weren't particularly well-built, I'd assume, since they were employee homes...
