Check this out for photos/interviews with photographers shooting the down and almost out neighborhoods, businesses and cars of Detroit, Cleveland and Western Pennsylvania. Not "Ruin Porn" as defined by recent media but instead documents of places of value to the every day lives of the people there. Nostalgic and sentimental for sure. But also hopeful in a way.
Also a radio interview with the founder of American Elegy Randy Fox by Detroit's Charlie Langton. Randy also writes an occasional piece for the Huffington Post on these subjects.
