A couple of days ago, the story of this 33yr retired detective on the Montreal police force surfaced. Ex-sergeant Ian Anderson had tried to sell a whole database of police informant names [[2000) to a mob lawyer. Phones were tapped and the guy was arrested trying to leave for Costa Rica last october. Anyways, they found his body in a motel this morning in a suburban motel room.
He apparently was the guy in charge of implementing the database in the first place, and totally above reproach during his tenure. This must be very depressing to clean cops.
