    Default Retired Cop Goes Rogue

    Although it may be climate-related.

The Free Press is reporting that a retired White House bomb-sniffing dog bolted after being flown to Detroit Metro from Phoenix.

I'm hoping he was just pissed about being sent to the cold...and didn't sniff out a huge cache of bombs near the airport.

From the Law Enforcement Officers I've known, it is tough to get 'em to really ever retire. Excepting Ray1936 and one homocide detective named Zeld, whose daughter I was close with for a while around the time he left the force. Those two seem to have embraced retirement with grace.

    Cheers!

They found the dog. He was on his way to Toledo to meet his new adoptive family.

Cute story. The DPD had K-9 units back in my day, and they usually retired with their handlers. On the other hand, when they started hiring female officers for patrol duties, I must observe that there were a few dogs among them.........

No! No! I didn't say that!....
