Detroit city government is in a 12 billion dollar both public and national debt.

They will run out of money by April 1st. The City Council and Mayor Dave Bing has no plan to save money in order to reach that 256 million dollar fiscal responsibility year. Governor Rick Synder, the Nerd has no plan to save to Detroit. So its creditors might come in with a State Supreme Court order to force Detroit city government into bankruptcy. [[ my theory)


1. All of their city assets from their treasury will be absolutely garnished!

2. City unions, Police and Fire department paychecks and other pensions will be absolutely garnished!

3. Most of city property will be auctioned off to private corporate companies.

4. Most of the City of Detroit could be put on sale and private corporate companies will own the city.

5. Property taxes and revenues sharing will be collected, but not for Detroit city government. It is for paying off the 12 billion dollar public and national debt.

6. Detroit city leaders would be dissolved. [[ if its by the decision of a bankruptcy judge)

Judging by the lack of response to your question, I would say that no body here cares. It just won't make a wit of difference either way; EM or bankruptcy. At least with an EM, the people of Detroit will have a scapegoat to pin all of their problems on, and say this nothing more then the Republicans feeding off the corpse of the city.

Do you honestly think the Republicans care about Detroit that much? I think you overestimate the meat on Detroit's bones.
