    Default Chrysler/Fiat Superbowl Ad

    Just about a year ago, there were many positive comments on this site about the Superbowl advertisement the Chrysler ran last February. Chrysler/Fiat had an exceptionally good sales year in the USA in 2011. Is there any scientific evidence about the effectiveness of their Superbowl ad and their "Imported from Detroit" tag line?

    Advertising is an art not a science. You can survey customers following a purchase to determine if they believe the ad influenced their feelings about a product or brand, their decision to visit a showroom, purchase North American, etc. but that's about it.
