Default Scoop! New Dodge. Quite a stunner.

A new compact [[well, that's compact by American standards...) is hitting the road shortly. It's the successor to the Caliber and it's a love child between Fiat and Dodge. It's build on the frame of the Alfa Guilletta. And because of this, this car is only for the American market and won't go to Europe. It will make it's official debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit next week.

    Pictures at Jalopnik.

Shame. I think this could have been a success in Europe. I don;t understand why the Alfa and Dodge can't be delevered together. I mean, there are too many differences between the two.

    The Alfa Guilletta.

    The new Dodge.

    I agree totally.

The Dodge looks like a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire. I am very disappointed.

Doesn't really do much for me. I'm a little dissapointed. I was expecting more, maybe it'll grow on me.

Shame that the damn thing [[a true American car name) isn't an all American car. I know this is a global world now but still. I like the mini Charger ques but it's an imposter.

It sure as hell looks better than that terrible looking Caliber. It's also much better looking than that Alfa. Chrysler should have never discontinued the Neon. The first generation wasn't great. My wife had one when we first met, but the second generation was designed much better. Like Toyota's Corolla and Honda's Civic, the Neon should be on its fourth or fifth generation by now. It was a good starter car and Chrysler should have kept the name even if it round up looking like the Caliber or now the Dart [[brand identification). Same can be said of the Ford Escort name. At any rate, the Dart looks good, especially the white one. I don't like all of these new car fronts with these extremely wide or downward smiling grills [[think Ford Focus). They look like the mouths of catfish. I have to say that there are a lot of people in this world today who appear to find butt-ugly to be attractive. Well, not me, but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, isn't it?.

My plant built the dies for the roof, hood, doors, some floor panels, side aperture supports and "C" pillar supports...

We also did some of the assembly tooling fixtures for it but our toolroom is rather small to do much...
