Long weekend vacation destination

Hi Everyone,

My fiancee and I are looking to take a long weekend up north somewhere. Just 2 or 3 nights. We are usually more summer vacation people but we both kind of need a break from the hustle and grind. Neither of us are really into the normal snow activities [[ski,snowboard, snow mobile, etc.) So we are really just looking for somewhere to go with some decent nightlife and a relaxing time this time of year. Any suggestions? No more than a 4-5 hour drive would be nice. We are 15 mins. outside of Detroit.

Nightlife? Well, maybe Traverse City, Great Wolf is good. Most places, they roll up the sidewalks after it gets dark, except for the bars.

"Up north", and "nightlife"? That's difficult, outside of Travers City. We take an annual break at Grand Bend, Ontario, for their winter carnival weekend. Snow sculptures, small town parade, fireworks, and pleasant surroundings. Closest thing to nightlife is cover bands at a couple of bars, though. We stay at a motel with an indoor pool, sauna, and small pub.
Two hour drive, this year it is the third weekend of February.
