Default Are Human Beings a disease to Planet Earth?

After millions of years of evolution Human Beings have went from Great Apes to super intelligent walking talking animals. Human beings are now ruling the planet. We have our own religion, social structure and civilization, governments and leaders. We develop highly advance technologies that could alter our lives in the blink of an eye. But there are problems. Human beings are a virus to this planet. Instead of sharing the same equilibrium with the surrounding enviroment we go one area to the next until every last natural resources are consumed. They only way to survive is move to another area. What is wrong with us? We grow, multiply but toxifying nature at the same time. We can human beings save ourselves from becoming a virus?

    Any thoughts

I've often said Humans are the deadliest parasite on the planet.

From the classic SciFi flick 'The Day The Earth Stood Still':

"If the Earth dies, you die.
If you die, the Earth survives"

Humans are indeed a cancer to this planet.

That's what I thought when I read How fracking might have led to an Ohio earthquake.

It doesn't matter to the planet what or how many things live on it or if nothing lives on it. And thanks to the Ag business and their gmo plants that are producing stronger weeds requiring stronger poisons, some of which are turning up in people, we may not be around to see the next century. Then again, we may poison our water supplies first.

"... and crawling on the planets face.... some insect called the human race..."

Even though we are the #1 species on the planet... interestingly enough we are only a distant #2 when it comes to total biomass. Krill is #1, and the Antarctic species of Krill alone [[in the southern oceans) has a total estimated weight of 500,000,000 tons... nearly twice that of all humans [[or so says Wikipedia).

One way or another the planet will shake us off like a bad case of head lice.

    Or the other kind

Yes, there will be an antibiotic. Mother Earth will survive, but the destroyers of water and air will not.

I'm flabbergasted. I had you pegged a creation guy, Danny, not an evolutionist.

Humans used to be merely a virus, but the atomic bomb made our overall environmental impact too great to sustain the self-extermination potential.

To hear the leaks, it seems our UFO overseers have rendered unusable the nuclear stockpiles around the world. Even the illegal shadow government's attempts to steal a few for False Flag Operations failed...if you remember that one fiasco five or so years ago out of Nebraska.

So the Watchers would rather us war conventionally...over oil. Until that makes too great an impact...say like in the Gulf of Mexico?!

    Cheers,
    John

Thanks for the Hicks, Sarge. Always a treat when he's right again. It's not so funny now, though.

I don't think HE thought it really was back then, either.

Boy, did he have it in for the marketeers, though.

Ok, so for some from their epistemological world view, we are a virus/ disease upon the planet practically, and pragmatically. So now what? Are not viruses to be removed? Cast out of the body? And who decides who stays....? The smartest people in the room?

What's the outworking of this? 'Cause there's always someone giving the edict, writing the books, putting forth the studies, promoting some group or segment as not viable; deemed as 'useless breathers' [[as the jargon goes).

    Yet conveniently EXCLUDING themselves!

No one will get to decide, Zacha. It will just happen, inexorably and indiscriminately, as an antibiotic kills both the good and the bad without judgment.

    No decisions, no exclusions.

    All humans, every last one.

In a few millions years if something close to humans evolves again, so be it. Maybe they'll be more responsible and not so full of hate and bias.

This seems to fit in this thread:

    From the Georgia Guidestones:
    1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
    2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
    3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
    4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
    5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
    6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
    7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
    8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
    9. Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
    10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.

Numbers 1 and 10 sound kind of ominous since the current world population is about 14 times that.
