Default Dime Savings Bank on Michigan Ave in Corktown

In recent weeks I've seen a lot of work going on at the old Dime Savings bank on Michigan Ave in Corktown. Does anyone know what is going on?

I believe the upper floor is being made into a loft/lofts. I don't know what is happening on the ground floor.

Isn't the Italian place going in Sam's Loans? I'm pretty sure the Dime is something nobody has heard about. Just guessing, though.....

    Default From Curbed

We reported on this earlier. The building was bought by Joe Mifsud... And yes it will be a restaurant. http://detroit.curbed.com/archives/2...joe-mifsud.php

You can never have too many good Italian restaurants – LOL!

In the meantime, I’ll be at Vince's Italian Restaurant on Springwells enjoying their killer Chicken Piccata!

So, what is going to go in Sam's Loans? I thought the Cooleys had plans for that?
