    Default Parking for Megabus

    Hello,

I'm going to be taking the megabus tonight, I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a good place to park for a week near either the downtown stop or the wayne state stop. I was checking out WSU Garage #6, it is right next to the mega bus stop. Do you think it would be okay leaving a car there for a week? The parking regulations online say you can leave your car more than seven days... I think I am actually getting back the eighth day, but do you think they are that strict? Or should I be fine parking there?

Wayne would definitely be cheaper and more convienent than anything downtown if you could get your car out before it closes. I seem to remember in my day the Wayne lots were all locked up at night. The best place downtown I can think of to park would be at the Westin, and I am sure they would charge you Westin proces to park there and plus its still 2 blocks away.

WSU doesn't really allow overnight parking in #6, or any structure, unless you live at the school. The rules may be different for Megabus customers.

When I went to Chicago on Megabus about a month ago I parked my car at MGM Casino...it is a less than 10 minute walk to Rosa Parks....I was gone almost a week...you probably missed this post...

I chose the Book-Cadillac garage because it was so close to the bus stop and is very secure due to the fact it serves a Westin hotel and luxury condos.

I'm headed to Philadelphia, and actually the car is not mine, I am traveling with my gf, she needed a place to park her car while we are gone. We didn't want to leave it on the street [[we live in the city) for a week.

Wolverine, driving there would be much more expensive. The whole route [[Detroit-Pittsburgh-Philadelphia) was only 25 dollars and we won't have to worry about where to park our car when we get there!

Oh, and I wish Amtrack where as cheap as Megabus because I wouldn't ever travel any other way!

Ah yeah Philly is a long haul. That's a great price though I could never sit on megabus that long. Usually I street park in Philly or as a last resort at the Cira center
