Default Joe the prophet, a logical analysis

Well, it is time to reexamine what crazy Joe Biden was driving at in the campaign when he prophesized that Obama would be tested and that the public should give him a wide bearth when that happens.

Now we can come to some deductive conclusions about this bizarre speech of Joe's. He clearly spoke as someone who knew something very specific that the rest of us did not. Some theorized that he was referring to some military attack by terrorists, and others predicting as yet unknowable economic events.

But these possibilities are nonspecific and not imminent and could not lead to the very specific admonition that the public would not like womathing that Obama would do. Joe truly knew something we did not. What was this mysterious knowledge? Given the extreme radical actions of Obama and his administration since taking office, it is becoming clear that this was the mystery now revealed.

So what? Well, what this means is that Joe was privy to specific policy plans that Obama intended to implement and that they would be perceived as bad policy by much of the public. Again, so what? THESE WERE KNOWN PRIOR TO CIRCUMSTANCES THAT HAD YET TO OCCUR...in other words, Obama intends this misery [[and it is just the beginning).

If this is the test, and the public will decide whether he passes or fails based on the consequences of Obama's radical socialist ideology and agenda, HE WILL FAIL but at the cost of our suffering.

    Right on.

Batts has gone, or is batcrap crazy at this point. He probably thinks he has commies under his bed, and fantasizes about being probed by the ATF, if you know what I mean.

Actually, Saracuda Failin' recommended a list of books she wanted banned from the Wasilla Public Library when she was mayor.

The head librarian refused, and she was summarily fired. Then such an outrage from the citizens forced Saracuda to re-hire her.

So, at least in Alaska, there are objectionable books, according to the Repugnican Reich.

Gee, I wonder how Saracuda feels about don't ask, don't tell- she may have a hard time with that gay son of hers.

Oh, that's right, she shipped him off to Iraq before the election. What do you suppose she's hoping for????

I can't shake this feeling of Deja Vu as I read these liberal responses. Where have I heard this before?? Could it have been the tone in Germany circa the late 30s echoed by the German jews that they had nothing to fear and that things would never become the nightmare that they would experience over the next few years?

The right certainly loves to ban books which is eerily similar to the actions of Hitler. Whats next, book burnings? Just last week I heard some right wing nut job demanding the permanent ban on a book about two male penguins raising an egg. I am so glad they are watching out for our welfare.

If you're referring to your people, the Repugnicats, then you're right. Your people advocate burning/banning books, not mine.

Wait, maybe the Bible would be a good start. We could reshelve it under "fiction" or "fairy tales"

I too, thought that this was a rebranding effort of "Not Joe the Not plumber" by the Sick Cult and their declining number of followers.
But it's just another round of the usual OCD/Tourette's of the Fingers stuff.

I was just approved for membership in the WSWS [[World Socialist Web Site), and was told to sacrifice a donkey, cutting it's tail.off and dip the tail in the dead donkey's blood and mark the sides and top of my front door, so that President Obama's socialist agents of misery would know to pass up my home without entering and inflicting that "womathing" that you posted upon us...

[[EDIT: I emailed them back and told them that I didn't have a donkey that I could use as a sacrifice, and they replied back, stating that the blood of an halibut and a old used paintbrush would be an acceptable substitute) :

good god man, you really have gone over the deep end in your delusional paranoia haven't you? seriously, seek help. you are showing so many classic signs of psychosis that it has genuinely raised a level of concern. I am not saying this as an "insult," these are genuine concerns for your well-being

Maybe the nation needs a little bit of Socialism. For the first time ever the U.S.Government is grasping on the failed banks, mortage companies, Chrsyler and General Motors. Socialism and workers' party in the United States is working and quickly growing while the Neo-Cons tries to find a leader between Joe Six pack and Dick Cheney. Give about 2017 and the United States will become a Democratic Socialist nation just like Canada.

    WORD FROM THE STREET PHOPHET

The Unites States of Canada will be formed.

    U.S.C., U.S.C., U.S.C., U.S.C!!! and I don't mean CCCP.

I tend to think he tried to get a VP who was even dumber than himself to make Obama look good. Like a girl going out with a fatter and uglier woman to make herself look better.

Freefall should be posting in the men's room above the urinals, where his brand of dribble can find it's way home- down the drain.

He forgets we suffered 8 years of death and destruction with a sociopath social retard as president, and an evil meglomaniac as vice president who lied like he breathed- all the time, unfortunately.

Regardless of what Joe does or doesn't do or what he says or doesn't say...conservatives need to get back to their core principles…i.e., those established just before and right after the great 1964 Presidential campaign. It was after Goldwater’s great thrashing, that great brains like William F. Buckley and great money like Richard Mellon Scaife, the Coors family, and eventually extending to that great Christian, Rev. Sun Yung Moon united to explain what conservative Republicanism is all about. Thank goodness, the product of conservative think tanks and media has changed the complexion of our political scene.

Sometimes conservatives are referred to as the right-wing. I think it is something of which to be proud. Right wing deserves to be merely descriptive and not a pejorative expression. It comes from French history. During the monarchy, nobility bowed to the King’s right and the peasants to the King’s left. After the French Revolution and the creation of the National Assembly, those who came from wealth, power and nobility [[read church, military, and aristocracy) sat on the right side and the newly enfranchised small merchants and peasants sat on the left. Over time the term left came to mean labor and the right to mean capital.

But I digress. Before Goldwater, the GOP decided that it could no longer be “FDR lite.” You know, the eastern moneyed aristocracy who felt service to the nation was a noble way to invest their time and energy…folks like the Rockefellers, and the Lodges. They wanted to distance themselves from statements like this one of President Eisenhower.

“Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes that you can do these things. Among them are a few Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or businessman from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid."

So Republicans needed to establish their own set of principles. Goldwater was the first test. “I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.” Candidate Goldwater in his nomination acceptance speech at the 1964 Republican National convention

Post Goldwater conservative wing-nuts like the John Birchers were cast off. And the core set of principles was more firmly refined and widely promulgated. Things like…

The playing field is even. Anyone who can’t make it in this society has only him or herself to blame. Hard work and discipline are the only traits needed to succeed in this opportunity-filled society.

Competition in the market is always fair. Winning in a “market competition” is never accomplished due to unfair competition. And because winning a contest in the market never impinges on another’s freedom to compete, the market is both natural and moral. Ergo, private enterprise should rule. It is what grew our economy and has made this nation great.

Because the best [[read hardest working, most disciplined, most responsible, and brightest) people will succeed in a free enterprise economy, those same people should “rightfully” [[pun intended) control what government at all levels should and should NOT do. Small government is good. Compassion and empathy may be good personal traits but they are never appropriate at any level of government. Sometimes this is negatively viewed as advocating profits before people. I think it’s best summarized in this quote:

“Few trends could so thoroughly undermine the very foundations of our free society as the acceptance by corporate officials of a social responsibility other than to make as much money for their stockholders as possible.” Future Nobel Prize winning Economist Milton Friedman in his 1962 book Capitalism and Freedom

Property was accumulated in the market should never be taken by government and redistributed to the “undeserving” poor. Taxes to pay for police, fire, the military, the court system and the like [[stuff that makes the capitalist economy work) are legitimate. But they should not come from the rich because they need their money to invest in ways that create jobs. [[What the left pejoratively calls “trickle-down” economics.)

Government should NEVER do what the private sector can [[even with a little government help like tax subsidies and tax breaks) can do. Business is unlike government: it is never bureaucratic, impersonal, or wasteful. The private sector [[read large corporations and their subsidiaries) is so much more efficient that government, that even our military is being privatized.

I don’t have time to go any further but you can see these time-tested values are what the GOP needs to stick with. It helped grow the party after Goldwater, through Reagan, up to the Contract with America.

Returning to these core Principles as Rush, Sean, Glenn, Sarah and Newt suggest won’t make the tent too small. Sticking with these principles will help everyone see that the GOP wants to continue along the line of thinking that gives hope to the poor, downtrodden and discriminated against…if they only put their nose to the grindstone, work hard, and play by the rules…someday they will achieve the American Dream.

I could go on and on preaching more core GOP values like the virtues of selfishness [[ala Adam Smith), a profit-maximizing greed-driven economy, but I will pause for now. I sure hope you have been tuning in and seeing the now shorn Stephen Colbert as he broadcasts from Iraq.

Unfortunately for you, such 'ideals' are discredited, as we are now reaping the bitter harvest of 30 years of Reagan/Tush trickle down economics which have bankrupted our nation, but let the fascists sitting on top off the hook with billions raped from the treasury.

It was a lovely history lesson, but what happened to Goldwater in '64, what Reagan did in the 80's and so on is ancient history, and tragically flawed in it's conception and execution.

Returning to what real conservatives like Eisenhower expoused, when he presided over the greatest GDP growth in our history, we need to return to a 90% tax rate on personal income over a certain dollar amound [[in the 50's it was 2 million dollars per annum) so we can discourage legacy wealth, which does nothing to better our society or futher our Democratic goals.

Returning to a tarrif based economy, reinstating the Fairness Doctrine, enforcing the Sherman Anti-Trust Act, restoring Glass-Stegall, and expanding our social safety net to include cradle to grave medical coverage at no cost to our citizens.

That's the American way. Your dogma of pulling oneself up by one's bootsraps doesn't work without boots.

Attacking my level of education is about as predictable as it gets for right wingnuts.

I'll put my knowledge of world events up against yours any day of the week, Batty.

You choose to believe the rantings of another fascist as gospel, then answer thoughtful, intelligent posts with one line hit jobs.

Where do you see anything about education in my comment? Intellectual honesty is not something that comes from an education at all. In that sense I agree with you. But how you came to that conclusion?? Bizarre.
