Default Move to Detroit? WDET respondents say fix local government first

    By Jeff T. Wattrick | MLive.com

Four of the top five answers to the question “I would consider moving to Detroit if the following were addressed [[check all that apply)” all relate to governmental effectiveness. Lower crime was selected by 78% of respondents not currently living in Detroit, 63.1% answered better city services, better schools was chosen by 59%, and less government corruption was cited as a factor by 58.6%.

One of the items on the list was better jobs. I'm surprised that didn't receive a higher response. Not only does there need to be better jobs, there needs to be more jobs. This would be a major incentive for people to move to Detroit and for people who already live there to want to remain there. Commuting stinks in general, and mass transit in the area stinks at this time.
