313WX said something and it reminded me. Someone I know once mentioned in passing that the CIA unleashed crack on black communities to fund war in Central America.

Ok. I'm a skpetic. But then there was the Tuskegee Syphillis Experiment, so I'm not going to be an idiot and turn a blind to what's possible.

Did some research on it but I was so overwhelmed with what was out there that I couldn't tell the real from the propaganda.

Can someone who is informed and rational clue me in? Or at least give me a headstart? Recognizing that I'm potentially opening the door to conspiracy theorists galore, I'm asking at first that people limit their answers to evidence that is pretty conclusive.

Yeah, you wouldn't want this to get to the sheople and disturb their previously solid worldview, no matter how fake. The worldview, I mean, not the information.

The San Jose Mercury News had an entire series on this during the 90s. The author was run out of journalism and later died mysteriously.

Someone I spoke with made it clear, the street drug of choice always follows the most recent war action. Now that we've got the Afghanistan poppy fields secure, heroin and its derivatives will be as plentiful as $3.35 per gallon gasoline.

Curious...I wonder if there has been any follow-up on this aspect of the Kwhyme story?!

The name change and ability to elude a basic background check nag me on this...an implication that there is more to see, some yet unseen hand directing things.
