Default What if Freman Hendrix had been elected ?

with all the shenanigans surrounding Kwame Kilpatrick in 2008, and now considering the heat Mayor Bing is taking now. How different do some of you think Detroit would be if Freman Hendrix had been elected mayor back in 2005, or 2 years ago ? I seriously can't help but wonder now !

Michael Grundy would've been working for/ripping off the city rather than the county.

What needs to be done to the city can't/won't be done by a politician looking to get re-elected. Things might have been a little more honest but no significant change

What if Jesus was a broad?
What if GM never left Flint?

Going back in time and asking what if is not going to get you very far in solving today's issues.

If Freeman Hendrix was elected, he would carry on what Dennis Archer did. Detroit's regional growth would accelerate. New exotic retail would be in Downtown Detroit. Gentrification of midtown areas means diplacement of low-income areas. Quicken Loans would have a new building on the Hudson Block. D-DOT bus services would be privatized. The Woodward Light Rail will be ready for construction by 2012. Mike Illitch would have his new Red Wings Stadium called "Little Caesar's Arena." Detroit Lions will win the NFC Conference Championship but lose the Super Bowl XXXVII to the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Tigers win the World Series.

He would rally Detroiters to Lansing and Washignton for a 700 million dollar grant to save the city from its budget crisis. Police and fire departments will be fixed and speedy repsonse time.

Hendrix would make a very excellent mayor that save Detroit from its own gloom and doom.

That would be quite a feat considering they both play in the NFC North division and the SB pits the AFC winner vs. The NFC winner.

I see you're a "real sports fan" The Lions can't play the Packers in the Super Bowl when they are in the same conference. ^^ You beat me to the punch LOL
