I've got a couple of questions regarding HITSVILLE U.S.A. I looked it up on Google Maps, and the street view shows what looks like funeral wreaths, near the front steps. Does anybody know when this picture was taken, and who the wreaths are for ? The second question, is in regards to a movie, that was on VH1 about 8 years ago? The movie was about the TEMPTATIONS, and it showed the house/ recording studio, and a funeral home next door. Was this filmed in Detroit? Thanks.

Those funeral wreaths are for Esther Gordy Edwards, the older sister of Motown founder Barry Gordy. She died a few months ago. If it wasn't for her there would be no Motown Museum [[Hitsville USA). She saved everything that was Motown related back when most folks would have considered it junk, and discarded it.

Without Esther... there would be no museum today..... RIP....

the two part tv movie was on NBC or ABC originally and I remember it was filmed in Pittsburgh. [[probably because of those film credits we like to discuss).
