Default Building on Fort St. just down from the produce terminal. "sales" & "service" doors??

Seen it passing by today and thought maybe it was once some type of car dealer? The words sales and service are engraved in the limestone above the doors. Anyone know?

7040-7050 W Fort Street. Used to be Clark & Woolsey automobile dealer. Some sources say it was a Hudson dealer. A 1935 directory I have lists them as a Chrysler/Plymouth dealer.

Interesting building. Is it currenty vacant or at least being maintained? I can imagine a really nice facade once occupied the upper floor where it appears to be just rough cement/stone now.

This stretch of Fort Street was JUST hit up with foreclosure notices, including this building [[7040 Fort).

    The other buildings inlcude:
    *6600 Fort Fort and Rademacher
*7000 Fort Beard and Fort. Owned partly by a Daniel Scottens. Currently apartments.
*6257 Fort Motown Tattoo Company. Daniel Scottens. This guy owns a lot on this side of the city.
*6142 Fort Old funeral home. Daniel Scottens again... hmmm any relation to the Daniel Scottens that founded Hiawatha Tobacco?
*5830 Fort. Coincidently I took a picture of this building recently....
