Not sure how many have attended this today from 12-5pm, but this weekend just across the river [[you can still visit Sunday) is the third annual Taste the Season in Windsor-Essex where 13 local wineries will be participating and offering complimentary tastings, hors d'oeurves, tours and live entertainment. Join thirteen participating wineries from the Lake Erie North Shore Wine Region in southwestern Ontario will be providing an assortment of holiday cheer at their wineries this weekend. This is our opportunity to give back to the communities that have shown us so much support!

Weave your way across the county and the Lake Erie Shore line to discover new vintages, culinary delights, music and unique experiences at each winery. Holiday shopping made fun! Enter for a chance to win door prizes and the “Taste of the Season” grand prize. Everyone welcome.

I've been going to this part of Essex County all my life. Even if you missed this event, it's well worth going out there sometime. Perhaps particularly in the spring or summer. You should visit the wineries, pick up real locally grown fruits and vegetables at the many area farm stands, see the lake, and some very nice real small town like Harrow and Kingsville.
