Bar top on a budget - with 1889 map of downtown Detroit

Since I couldn't afford to build a really nice bar top, I got creative and used some leftover paint, masking tape, Sharpies and some clear coat............

I went off of an 1889 map of the downtown area and layed out the grid with rulers and painters tape. I painted the streets and background, then wrote out the names. Clear coated it twice and now I have a 17' map!!

Yes, the bar is in my basement. And the fact that someone thinks that its sexual in nature makes all the work more gratifying, LOL!

Of course you know some real bars are going to want to buy that from you or commission you to do a similar custom bar for them. You may have started a new business here. Add some toy car coasters. Imagine all the nondescript linoleum bars out there in need of being tricked out.
