Did anyone on this forum actually vote for this turd? Explain yourself.

How bad was his opposition if he was the lesser of the two idiots?

People in the state of Michigan voted for 'change'; well, they got it, much may they enjoy it.

They also voted, largely in favor, of medical marijuana, which this guy doesn't seem to get. The more he crusades against it, the dumber he looks. He doesn't even have an argument.

He is dumber and totally misinformed. Needs to be removed, but how? Is the liquor and tobacco industries involved? They always have been. Once the masses learn the medical truth, most will change over to the less harmful recreation.

Why do the Republicans argue "State Rights" all across the board come election year, and then slam "State Rights" when it doesn't suit their agenda ? This crap has got to stop. Pick a side and stick with it !

Me - "A needy patient, waiting years for resolution" F-you, Schuette. At least you wear it on you're sleeve, Republican party star.

Would AG Shuette like to "visit" my disability for a day to find out what happens "outside" of Lansing ? I don't think so, a PR guy will put out a news release about how what a "busy" man he is.

Of all the articles I have read over the past year with this clown, he has yet to name one specific negative aspect of the medical marijuana law or stated how anyone has been negatively affected by it.

Here are your options - Schuette or the Feds

The Feds just ordered all dispensaries in California closed under threat of prosecution.

Another right wing, pro pharma company op ed. Read it well, so you don't get yourself into a psychotic induced coma from smoking weed. We should require the showing of "Reefer Madness" to all school age children.

OPINION: Marijuana should not have been legalized
It was a mistake for Michigan voters to approve the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes by a 2-1 margin in November 2008.
Advocates convinced the electorate that marijuana would alleviate chronic pain or severe side-effects from chemotherapy. This is bogus. There are no scientific, peer-reviewed studies that show marijuana reduces chronic pain.
In addition, there are FDA-approved medications such as Marinol that contain tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the active ingredient in marijuana that can be prescribed by a physician. There also are at least three widely-used medications — Emend, Aloxi and Sancuso — which prevent chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting.
Marinol and anti-nausea drugs contain exactly the same ingredients no matter which licensed, regulated pharmacy supplies them. But with hundreds of people growing marijuana, there is no telling what might be contained in the marijuana purchased.
Under current law, the potency of marijuana is not consistent. This could injure medically fragile patients, causing coma or a psychotic episode.
We are proud that state Attorney General Bill Schuette has led the charge to shut down marijuana dispensaries. In August, the state Court of Appeals shut off the commercial sale of marijuana by those who have a medical marijuana card.

This was published by the Oakland Press on 10-9-11 in the paper, but was left out of the online op ed.

"But with hundreds of people growing marijuana there is no telling what might be contained in the marijuana purchased. Drug dealers often "cut" drugs with lethal substances such as strychnine to increase the quantity and this unnecessarily puts people's lives at risk."
Didn't the Federal government "cut" down marijuana with Paraquat herbicide back in the 70's ? And was that ingested by unsuspecting people here in the U.S.? Two sides to the story. I would trust a friend over that scenario again.
