personally I don't disagree with the fact that the earth may be warming up...

but to think that humans are the main culprit and this is not a normal cycle, and then to actually believe that we can somehow cool the earth back down is quite arrogant...

im sure by having all of us change to mercury laced curly light bulbs is going to help.... help fill the pockets of GE executives with money.....

global warming... follow the money trail.....

You forgot to mention Al Gore's carbon footprint... usually global warming appologists always include Al Gore as being part of the problem....

What I find even more arrogant is that now that we've supposedly reached the 7 billionth person on the planet this week [[I know it's hard to prove). At one time in recent memory there were only 3 billion of us... we've more than doubled that in such a short time... pretty soon we'll double it again... and sooner or later some folks will have to take their head out of the sand.... there won't be that much sand [[per person) to go around!

Strikes me that a bit of global warming can be a good thing, so long as you don't live on the coast.

Now if someone would talk about how we are poisoning our environment. No one can blame that on sunspots.

You know what's so inconcievable about the entire global warming debate?

On one hand we can deny human cause, and do nothing about it. Then when it's proven that in fact this whole time, it really was cyclical weather patterns, we can all pat ourselves on the back and raise our glasses in rejoice. However, if the ice caps do melt and hundreds of coastal communites are washed away, well we can feel bad about or decision of inaction. No ticker tape parade.

On the other hand; our society can take a proactive approach to global warming and make the effort to reduce carbon emissions, stave off groundwater pollution and find real solutions to waste and sustainable fuels. The when the polar ice caps do not melt, we can say we we're cautious and also moved our society forward to accomodate 7 billion people even though we did if for ulterior reasons. But if in fact we do save the ice caps from melting due to our forward thinking innovative solutions and gravitation towards greener, sustainable energy supplies. Oh did I mention that we might also create a few more jobs by implemeting the second scenario.

Does this make sense to you naysayers out there?

We loss billions of dollars to green bust companies. No one buys their products. They keep spreading the lie's. Check out the demand for the volt & leaf, sales suck. Hope no one bought that new G.M stock, Obama cost the taxpayer a bundle. They been spreading lie's so long some believe them true.

What would it have hurt to have allowed the tax credit for solar panels on homes to continue? What would it have cost Reagan to have left the solar panels on the White House? Now China leads in cheap solar panels. The Reps. lost an opportunity to encourage a home-grown business. But they were too busy sucking up to oil and coal.

#1 - Volt sales are topping GM's expectations and they raised output
#2 - There are waiting lists to get on the waiting lists for the Leaf
#3 - People did buy, and continue to buy GM stock
#4 - what would the country be like with another 3/4 million unemployed -- which would have been the result of GM going under?

Get your lips off glenn beck's backside and try thinking for yourself

Go to the daily bayonet get the facts. Volt sold a grand total of 302 Gm has very low expections. The leaf 1362 that abouta 3 hour run, line for waiting. GM stock way down from IPO. I don't like or listen to beck. Anyone with a brain can tell BS from reality.

Year to date Oct sales of Volts is about 5,000, but GM insists it can still sell 10,000 by year end. YTD sales of Leafs is about 8,000. YTD total auto sales thru Oct 2011 are about 10.5 million [[which mean Volts and Leafs together are about 0.12%, that's 12/100 of one percent, of the market). Wow, is everyone feeling cooler yet?

GM's IPO was at $33/share. GM closed today at $23.33/share, down 30% from its IPO and low enough that the sale of the stock still owned by all of us through our federal government may not happen in the foreseeable future.
