    Default McDonalds beatdown

Had anyone heard about the fight that was at a Mcdonalds in New York? Two drunk young ladies had tried to assault the cashier by coming behind the counter after him. He had taken hold of a metal rod and beated the s&#t out of both of them. The cashier was just released from jail a little while ago. One of the ladies had suffered a fractured skull and is in intensive care. The other one has minor injuries. If anyone could google the video do it and tell me your comments

I saw the video posted a while ago on another messageboard. I know I'm wrong for finding it comical, but I think those ladies got what they deserved. I've worked in customer service and partially still do, people think because you're the employee that you don't deserve any respect, only the customer deserves respect. I say he acted in self defense and I can't blame him. How would he know if they had a gun or knife or other weapon? They were quite brazen and assaulted him first. That's just my opinion though.... People need to learn that respect is a two-way street!

I heard it was an Uzi.

Actually, food service employees often have a long metal rod with curved ends to drag stacks of full milk crates or the like from the bottom.... works great and thats what it looked like to me in the video.

I think his problem was that he kept the whipping going even after they were subdued. If he had a gun and reacted instantly they would be dead and it would be self-defense.

Interesting. I don't quite understand why that guy is facing charges though, he was clearly attacked. I would have done the same. Those women got what they deserved.

The video says the cashier spent more than a decade in prison for shooting and killing a classmate in 2000. Why was he out?

I'd say it was because he kept beating them after they were clearly down on the ground and of no threat. The two women were clearly idiots for slapping him, climbing over the counter and coming around. The first couple whacks they got were deserved, but when all you see was him raising the stick and lashing it down [[with people in the background yelling for him to stop and fellow employees trying to get him to quit), that was what I think he'll be charged for.

I don't know, If I was attacked like he was, I would have done the exact same thing. You never know if someone is armed with a weapon, in that situation you have to make sure they are down for the count. If I was on that jury, he automatically gets a "not guilty" out of me.

I have to agree with this. These women were brazen enough to smack the guy and jump over the counter to physically confront him, only a fool would think that they wouldn't be capable of pulling out a gun or a knife. I'd be out to completely subdue them too.

When I had a bar Some asshole threaten you. I use to try to get them to jump across. All nice and legal when they make that mistake.

For just such occasions. This is but another reason why as a rule I will ONLY DO 'DRIVE TRUE' for fast food joints when I eat the junk [[rarely). I don't want to know about, or become part of such madness.

He did completely subdue them and then he kept on going. That's why he's charged.

Its called adrenaline and someone being in fight or flight mode when there is danger present. I am sure all charges against him will be dropped since he was in the right and was clearly acting in self defense...

Once you're in a situation where you're being attacked, it's not a switch everybody can just shut off. I don't know what they said or what provocation occurred, but when people jump over a counter, I'd say you're within your rights to defend yourself. He should have stopped, but I know adrenaline ...

Anyway, I bet those girls won't be so sassy the next time they go to Mickey D's...
