Thanks for linking to that earlier thread. I have found John Bennett's work on Detroit Uncovered to be important. He is careful and he's on to something most of the time. He was the canary in the coalmine of the corrupt KK administration- losing his job and livelihood because he would not compromise.
I don't agree with the characterization of Bennett's work by Lowell and Woodward's Cousin. Bennett appears to be a pretty good investigative reporter who was dismissed almost jealously in that thread. His work is different than this discussion thread. If he is a muckraker - well the famous journalism muckrakers were called that by the very people who had a lot to hide.
