Default Pontiac East to close, get out the forks.

Stick us,we're done.Set us on the counter and let the dog have at us.The rest of the south side of Pontiac is swirling towards the drain.I'm pissed at this country, state,Presidents going back to Carter, our clueless Gov. the honorable Jenny Grabahold.Sorry for the vent, rant and general pissed off mood.Dammit all.At least we're still open,no bankruptcy filings here.
We can olny hope that GM and Chrysler can come out of this leaner, smarter and have a buisness model that works.

How about being pissed at the people who run the car companies for the last 30 years? Or did they have no role in all this?

Hey Luckycar, blow off the steam. say whatever you'd like. It doesn't even have to make sense. It might not do a whole lot of good overall, to vent, but it feels better for a while and relieves some anger and frustration. This is an unprecedented economy and world situation in our life times. I, personally, don't know whether 'to shit or go blind', to use an old saying. Have at it.

Greedy unions my azz. Management ran GM into the ground. Wagoner got to take a hike with 20 million in his back pocket. ^^ You need to get a clue.

Men died and were beaten in their efforts to help American labor, organized or not obtain a fair day's pay for a fair day's work.

It appears that future generations will need to learn that lesson all over again.

The global corporate capitalists, "Generous Motors" aside, most are not known for their generosity and benevolence, despite demanding loyalty and hard work, and it is obvious from their efforts to kill card check and offshore/outsource jobs, that they prefer to treat their grunt employees at the lowest possible level of dignity and respect.

Unions only receive benefits that management agrees to. Unions ask and management can say no. That's basic collective bargaining.

Lee Iacocca says the big three should have taken strikes 35 years ago instead of giving in to the unions. They wouldn't be paying for those mistakes now had they done that. But management didn't want those strikes as they would have cut into their bonuses, so they gave away the store to keep their personal wallets fat.
