Looking for nice apt to rent in Midtown

A friend is moving to Detroit and would like to live in Midtown. She is a dr. working in the Med Center and is looking for something very nice to rent - along the lines of Willy's Overland. But it is my understanding that you have to buy there. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I would recommend that you pick up a copy of the Detroit Monitor [[a new one comes out every Thurs.) they always have Midtown rentals. Also the South End [[WSU newspaper) classifieds and WSU housing has numerous office campus apartments many visiting faculty and staff use.

Garfield Building or the new building across the street would be best bets if she wants to be near to the Medical Center. I'm not sure if anyone is renting out any lofts in the Ellington. There are also rental units in the Park Shelton with secured garage access/parking.
