Obama's illegal immigrant uncle, who was reportedly nabbed for driving drunk, was just released after spending a few weeks in jail on an immigration detainer for violating an order to return to his native Kenya in 1992.

Most aren't of interest. However, we now have an additional example of President Obama being above the law. If this guy claims to be leading by example, the rest of us should be able to pick and choose the laws we want to observe too.

Update on Uncle Onyango-

The President's illegal alien Uncle is now scheduled to go to court over drunk driving charges but has been released and "ordered to regularly check in with immigration officials" although he has a long standing court order to leave this country. The Obama's seem to think that they are above the law and not confined by the law governing the rest of us.

I'm not sure how related it is but two top Democrats this week have suggested that democracy is unwieldy. One even suggested not having the 2012 election so Congress wouldn't be distracted with reelection considerations. She said later that she was kidding

. Anyway, immigration law and the uniform enforcement of law don't seem to apply to Uncle Onyango and Auntie Zeituni.

This isn't as serious as dropping bombs on Libya without the congressional consent but adds to the image of our President and even his family members thumbing their noses at our legal institutions and gaming the system.
