Did the Cobo Center DPM station exist before 1989?

I am wondering how the Cobo Center station might've existed before 1989 when the expansion across Larned ocurred. Did it exist outdoors like all other DPM stations?

1:13 is where it reaches cobo. It look like it just passes through as if there's no station there. Even with the station stops edited out.

As I remember, the station was built as part of the Cobo expansion in the 1989. There was no Cobo station until that point. You would just ride through the construction area as the video shows.

That's why I always thought the DPM only had 12 stations during it's first two years.
