    Default Detroit Tour information

    Hey everyone,
I am going to be in Detroit on this weekend for a family event, including Thursday and Friday Aug 18-19. Anyway my sister who has never been wants me to take her around Detroit on the Friday, as she wants to experience the city I always rave about

We are hoping to borrow our family car while we are there, so I can give her a good classic tour of the city. However there may be a chance we can't get the car, and so will have to bus it downtown and then be on our own.

Do you guys know of any tours that go out on Fridays that hit interesting parts of the city, etc? Any info would be great.

    Hi Mike,

Unfortunately most of the regularly scheduled tours offered by the various tour businesses and organizations run Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday evenings, and Wednesday evenings.

Here's one that offers tours on Fridays:
Detroit Urban Adventures offers daily tours Tuesday through Saturday from April through the end of November. A partnership between Detroit Tour Connections and Intrepid Urban Adventures, new Detroit Urban Adventures tours should be great for visitors and locals alike. There are two tours downtown walking tours that include some riding on the People Mover. Offered each day, Tuesday through Saturday, the tours run approximately 2 hours and depart from 1515 Broadway, where you have the chance to get a beverage or a bite to eat before the tour.
“The D You Must See” tour is offered at 1pm; includes choice of baklava in Greektown or a coney island from Lafayette or American. $25. http://www.detroiturbanadventures.com/Detroit_tour_the_d_you_must_see
