Default Whitehouse Insides: Everyone: Everyone Stunned At How Little Barack Obama Understands

A quick update following the almost-concluded debt ceiling negotiations paints a fascinating picture of Democrats and Republicans agreeing on one thing – the leadership fiasco that is President Obama. Democrats are so upset in fact, serious whispers of a primary challenger to Obama are now quickly spreading within the party.

As predicted last week by our longtime D.C. Insider, the debt ceiling agreement now appears to have indeed been”all but done” days prior to its actual public conclusion. What is equally clear is just how inept Barack Obama was during the entire process – and how deep current frustrations and anger now run against the president from both Democrats and Republicans in Congress:
    __________________
…As I told you last week, the debt ceiling deal was in fact concluded far earlier than the media reports indicated. All the drama made for good news, right? The principles were in agreement, but it was the Tea Party and far left folks who were putting up the big fight to the point of directly challenging the likes of Boehner, Pelosi, and Reid. In all my years of D.C. dealings, I have never seen so much infighting by people against others in their own political party. It was astounding to see and hear what some were saying about others over the last week or so. Both parties are going to be licking their wounds following this mess.

The one thing that almost everyone did agree with was how “idiotic”, “moronic”, “pathetic”, “self-serving”, “arrogant”, and “scary” President Obama’s role was during the process. Those are actual descriptions used against the president, and most of them came from Democrats. Everyone stunned over how little Barack Obama understands about anything. Told Harry Reid came out of a meeting with Obama over the weekend “visibly shaking” he was so angry at how little the president seemed to care about the process and related details of the agreement, and how flip and dismissive he was toward Senator Reid. “Just get something for me to sign Harry…” The primary concern of the Obama White House was the possibility of the debt ceiling issue carrying forward into the 2012 election cycle. The president and his people made that abundantly clear to anyone who would listen time after time after time.

What’s done is done on the debt ceiling stuff. What is coming from all of it though might prove even more interesting to us who want to see Obama made a one-termer. That would be what is now very serious conversations by some high ranking Democrats, and a few powerful donors, to run a primary challenger against President Obama. This scenario has been spoken of before, but now it’s getting very very serious.

Plouffe, who has all but taken over the president’s day-to-day scheduling, which is yet another clear sign that this president has totally given up even pretending that he is not already in 24/7 campaign mode, is warning Obama’s inner circle of the harm to the re-election such a challenge would inflict. Apparently the president himself remains working under the belief he is unbeatable. That no Republican no matter who it is can defeat him.
We’ll see about that. Many of us are jumping to the other side for this election and it will definitely be my last one. Sending you a much more detailed update later this week. Keep on Gunrunner. It is developing into something far more damaging to the administration than even we initially thought possible. Oh, and the Corsi stuff that you keep pumping on me. Guess what? It was recently brought up by someone once very high up in the administration. It appears there is in fact something substantial possibly developing on that as well. Significants are working double time keeping it under wraps. That always means it is legit, and serious. Remember that scenario well back in the Clinton days. Not saying I’m jumping into the deep end on that stuff just yet, but might actually owe you that drink after all. And maybe an apology as well.

It appears that our Europeon brothers have a better take on our mess than we do. Whitehouse, don't be afraid to point out our faults. But I take everything with a grain of arsenic.

Well now the "panic" is over [[unfortunately by raising the Debt Limit) he can get back yet again to jobs, and we all know the only job he's really interested in is his own.

Lost in the brouhaha over allegations that President Obama walked out of the July 13th debt crisis negotiation meeting, was the comment President Obama reportedly made to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor: “Eric, don’t call my bluff. I’m going to the American people with this”.

Boy, would I love to get in a poker game with a guy like this who knows he has a weak hand and telegraphs it!

And apparently Obama's the only one left in the world who still believes all that pre- and post-election hype about his exceptional communication skills.

Was raising the debt ceiling a good thing?

When you think about how our money is essentially not worth the paper it's printed on, you have to expect oil, food and commodities to start costing alot more. Hyperinflation is coming, it's only a matter of time.

I am just as mad at the President as anyone could be, but Corsi? The birther thing just won't die. That is ridiculous. You don't need that to bust him, he's digging his hole too deep all by himself.

Ok, then how about a cut-n-paste quote from the President?

Regarding ongoing discussions about the debt ceiling: "I Would Rather be Talking About Stuff That Everyone Welcomes, Like New Programs or the NFL Season Getting Resolved." -President Obama July 11, 2011

So far, China, Putin, and the US stock market haven't been real impressed with the deal. On the other hand, it has been good for the owners of precious metals.

Let them cut Social Security and other programs. Certian sacrifices have to be made to save this nation from financial default. The U.S. government 100 years ago should plan a debt ceiling in the first place. They could ahve stick to the orginal plan and go with the flow of investment plans as a safety net.

Baby Boombers should plan their own retirement plans and three or more safety nets instead of relying the gov't for some money.

big deal -- who wouldn't rather be talking about it? Obama caved to the right -- again. if caving is actually what you would call pursuing your own right-of-Ike, antiprogressive policies. I'm no fan of the pres, but I can't stomach the mindless vitriol that is pushing our country off a right-wing cliff. 40 years ago, Barry Goldwater's policies were considered fringe-right and he got trounced. Obama follows those policies almost to the letter and gets called a leftist, socialist, etc.

China is on the verge of it's own economic bubble, putin is a thug. What's your point? Why give a damn what they think?

Pretty tough to show leadership when you don't control the House. Hell, even Boehner couldn't control the majority in the House....and you expected Obama to ? I'm a die-hard Demmie, but people like Reid and Pelosi seem to have a tough time dealing with reality. The Tea Party isn't going to go away until they are exposed, and Obama knows that. He best strategy was to pick his fight another day, and yes, that might be the 2012 elections. You see, someone forgot to explain to The Tea Party that our entire capitalist system is built on growth, and growth isn't simply going to appear magically by shifting social responsibilities to the State and local level. It's also not going to happen by cutting taxes on the very rich, nor by banning immigration out of paranoia. The only thing that trickled down our back the last 10 years was yellow, and the economic statistics prove it. Remember, the shoe will soon be on the other foot when the Bush tax cuts expire on their own. It will be the House trying to convince the Senate that rich people still deserve a break because of 'the trickle'. Good luck with that !!

The President did control the House for two years to show us what to expect when surrounded by friends. He extended and expanded Bush's wars, started a war of his own, extended Bush's bailouts, sent jobs abroad with new trade pacts, lobbied for illegal workers in this country, oversaw the worsening of housing and unemployment statistics, and extended tax breaks for the rich. I can understand that as a "die-hard Democrat", growth is anathema to you. With Obama as President, you probably need not worry about economic growth.

I can understand that as a die-hard Republican, 'cut, cap, and balance' is an enema to you. At least it won't have to trickle as far.

You must be one of the folks who see a "D" next to a name and automatically assume they are a liberal. You'd be hard pressed to get all of the Democratic Party to agree to much of anything.

I haven't voted for a Republican in four of the last five presidential elections so you got that wrong too. Consistency must be worth something. I do however usually support Ron Paul a Republican of sorts who voted against the 'cut, cap, and balance' bill and the final debt ceiling bill. If Congress and the Dictator of Executive Orders would just follow the Constitution, our country wouldn't be broke or discussing such a bill.
