Crime the ghettoes of Chicago in the black communities is a urban plague compare of all the black crimes in the ghettoes in American inner cities. BROTHERS KILLING BROTHERS, sisters FIGHTING sisters marks the destruction of African American race. They are the theathen species [[ by means of the slave mentality) and the years of segregation and HATE! Is this is the way that local and national media put this propaganda to every American home to scare whites, Mexicans and any other ethnic folks? Surely local media news companies is doing a terrible job making bad news about black folks before they get the white folks.

I feel very sorry for the 5 year old black kid who is living the ghettohoods of South Side Chicago. He sees this kind of violence every day when walks down the streets. Since the streets are getting to him, he want to but a gun so he find some punk to kill and make him feel like an original gangster. At the end he might as well go into a life of crime, end of in jail or DEAD! I was wondering the last civil rights hero Bill Cosby is going to say something to this 5 year old black kid? Give him a Jello Pudding Pop and say "PLEASE GO SCHOOL AND GET AN EDUCATION."

As a black man, I feel sorry for my race that they have to accept the slave mentality. Most of them living in broken homes, with no father figure to look up to. Most of the black families and friends either DEAD or in jail, being bullied by the culturally and biased structured white man's American rule. Being pushing in the reservation which I called "THE GHETTO!" Could we black folks just put down the guns and knives and fix our own comuntities and save our families. Those are simply words that could be said by anyone. Some of the black folks will listen but most of them will not. The violence of black on black crime and black on white crime will just go on like the show. Our society put can put and end to it by adding stricter laws. But if only we African Americans can change for their ownselves then we need any more 5 to 21 year olds wanting a gun to kill their own people before they get to anyone esle.

How very true! I've seen the selective lens of the media used to slant everything I've loved and engaged in. I notice they now make quicker and tighter cuts from the all too brief blurbs they give folks now. Give them a lot of leeway, and they will go back to manipulatively only reporting on crime concerning African Americans, and already they are falling back into the bad habit of shoving a microphone in the face of a tragedy victim with "You just lost your home and your entire family in that fire. How do you feel?"

Genuine reporting involves truth and full inclusion. Anything else becomes pap or propaganda. Being selective is all too common [[did America catch wind of the East Timor genocides we had a hand in?). I wish we had the dry, straight-forward sticking to the facts I see on Democracy Now [[which Cosby used to endorse openly-hmmm?). I don't think the news should be playing sociologist/social experimenter, product endorser, fear-monger [[remember Y2K, Africanized Bees, and Weapons of Mass Destruction?), continuing report magazine journalist [[leave that to Dateline and 20/20 with what was once about dwindling Native American tribes and ugly corporate polluting in the '80's, and now it's just informative murder porn for the blood-thirsty or those shut-ins addicted to fear from the "Big Bad-er-um-Everything" that needs us to boost are need for the "illusion of security" and police state), celebrity gossip columnist [[unless that's the entire nature of the show like E.T. or TMZ-if you really get jazzed on that stuff), or "champion of the people"-heck! even this "eggs are good"/"eggs are bad" flip-floppiness of the health reports get to me [[but, hey! at least I initially learned about cochineal from a 6p. health segment).

Take a lot of that out, and I really wouldn't care how boring it is, as long as it was full, balanced, accurate, and relevant.
