I am absolutely amazed that this "officer" is still employed after the myriad of lawsuits and irrefutable evidence of misconduct. What does it take to get fired in this city?

The Gang Squad has a notorious reputation for overzealous policing, violation of civil rights, intimidation and unethical practices. Even on a Federal monitor's watch this is still not changing.

bizarre.. especially when you see the video, it was unprovoked assault.. what do you do when certain cops are just as thug-minded as the everyday neer-do-wells of the neighborhood...
There should be zero tolerance for this sort of thing..

And they wonder why people dont trust the police in this city, and why they cant get anyone to "cooperate". This has been going on for years. If you get pulled over in the city @ night in secluded area you are more afraid of the police than they are afraid of you. Most people just slow down and ride to a well lit area. The gang squad unit is necessary but they over step their bounds too much. the city of Detroit pays alot of money [[millions) a year because of these thugs
