Bringing together organizations such as Friends of the Detroit River and the Sierra Club, Detroit’s first ecology fair, the Palmer Park Green Art Fair, will unite people, organizations and businesses around the central theme of a green, renewable, and environmentally-conscious world. The event will be on Sunday, June 28th from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. around the Palmer Park Log Cabin pond, located in Palmer Park near Covington and Second Ave, north of McNichols [[Six Mile) & Woodward Avenue.

A coalition of neighbors in the 6 Mile/Woodward Avenue area of Detroit are bringing back the Palmer Park Fair – with a “green” twist. The Palmer Park Green Art Fair offers a community gathering with art, acoustic music and children’s activities plus an environmental information fair. Planned to be the beginning of an annual event, the organizers’ goal is to help revitalize Palmer Park, one of Detroit’s green treasures.
