GREAT!!!! Can't wait to hear his plans. Heard he's talking with Dan Gilbert...this is interesting. Could be our entertainment promise from Gilbert's Detroit's 2.0 concept. Magic Johnson Theatre ...maybe? promise of JOBS!!!

On the radio this morning it sounded like it had something to do with the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame.

When is that project between Michael Jackson and Don Barden supposed to begin?

Believe half of what you see and nothing of what you hear.

As a fellow MSU alum, I'm thrilled to see Spartans taking such a leadership role in our community. Perhaps they can manage to wrangle in fellow Spartan and recent addition to the NBA community, Tom Gores to jump on the bandwagon as well.

hopefully part of the partnership will involve recruiting and training urban detroiters for high-tech and/or finance related jobs... to me that would be way more important compared to a movie theater.. [[and is Magic still trying to get a minority share of the Pistons? Or maybe now the Cavaliers?)

Barden said at the beginning that that deal would only proceed if he was awarded one of the city's casinos. It was an all or nothing deal.

Hopefully Gilbert and Magic can provide some stable growth to local start-ups.

He's dealing with Dan Gilbert, he is NOT playing with moving forward with whatever he has plans for. So, whatever plans comes to fruition will be nice addition hopefully to the city and its citizens. It includes JOBS, to whom..?
