Mentobe Cafe Review

I am sitting here enjoying an open mike session in a new coffee house in downtown ye olde Farmington Village. Pronounced Mean-to-be it has a very pleasant and newly renovated interior that opens onto sidewalk seating on Grand River. Sandwiched between Cowley's Irish Pub and the classic Civic Theater, I can already see where it supplant Starbucks as my walk-to caffeine haunt.

For those of you familiar with the old Farmington Village center, this was the site of the former Books Abound used book store. The site had been vacant until now. The current owners remodeled the facade to fit the 19th century flow while the cafe owner did the interior.

The coffee is outstanding, and an array of desserts and a light sandwich menu and daily soup keep round the edibles along with my must-have free broadband wifi.
