Default Did Bing push for "financial martial law" bill

    In today's Freep,http://www.freep.com/article/20110617/NEWS01/106170471/Mayor-s-communications-chief-ll-resign-Dave-Bing-asks?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE
there is a mention by Rochelle Collins on how the mayor's office worked with the Legislature on the bill that gave dictatorial powers to the EM. [[noticed they are no longer the emergency financial manager now they are just the emergency manager)

I remember Republicans in the Senate was saying that the former EFM, Robert Bobb needed more authority because the school board had beaten Bobb in court so they pushed for the bill so that "Bobb" could push his agenda with no interference. I have always thought that the bill was written for Detroit city, not Detroit schools and it is started to look that way. What do you think?

I think you may be right, and we've got to build a list of conspirators. Governor Snydely and Mayor Bing-Bong at the top.

I think the Democratic Republic experiment of our nation has failed...and they are trying to KILL it instead of fixing it.

Who was that old French economist who analyzed various forms of government and determined that when the populace realized they could vote themselves money out of the public largesse, democracy would be done?!
